Fast Track for Female Coaches
An intensive coaching and leaderhip course for females on a coaching career parth
In Australia, we are experiencing a rapid rise in the profile of women's sport and female athletes, however women are still under represented in leadership and coaching roles. One of the most considerable and visible discrepancies between “women's sport” and “women in sport” is the lack of women in coaching roles. At the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, the International Olympic Committee reported that just 13% of coaches at the delayed Games were women, despite women making up 49% of competitors. Similarly, when professional Australian team sports are examined, there is a dearth of women in coaching roles, for either women's or men's teams.
