The Chairperson of Sport NSW, Carolyn Campbell, is pleased to announce that Ross Bidencope has been appointed as the Interim CEO of Sport NSW.

Mr Bidencope will commence in the role today and will see Sport NSW through until Christmas.

Ross was an Elected Director of Sport NSW from 2009 – 2019 and also held the Chair of Finance role during this time. In October 2019, Ross was awarded Life Membership of Sport NSW – one of only five life members to date.

Ross is a chartered accountant with over 30 years of senior management experience in both commerce and the not-for-profit sector. Ross was the Chief Financial Officer at Surf Life Saving NSW for over 10 years and has also been an active member of his local Surf Life Saving Club since 1974. Ross has held the positions of Club Captain, Treasurer, Secretary and Chief Instructor over that period, initially with Bungan Beach and currently with Avalon Beach SLSC.

Prior to joining Surf Life Saving NSW, Ross held the position of CFO / Senior Director with The George Institute for International Health.
