Sport NSW is delighted to announce the confirmed program for the 2023 Sports Foyer NSW Sports Industry Conference, to be held on Friday, 24th February

Supported by ACPE, and held at their campus in Sydney Olympic Park – the Industry Conference is a must attend for anyone working in sport looking to further their knowledge across a range of relevant topics.

This year's Conference Keynotes are not to be missed!

With the NSW State Election just around the corner we are pleased to have Minister for Sport The Hon. Alister Henskens and Shadow Minister Ms Julia Finn join us to address the respective political policies for the sports sector.

Australian Sports Commission CEO Kieren Perkins OAM will provide an update and answer questions on the ASC strategic vision and focus areas for the next 10 years and beyond aiming to bring out the best in everyone involved in sport.

In the build up to the 2032 Brisbane Olympic and Paralympic Games we are pleased to have Australian Olympic Committee CEO Matt Carroll AM address the conference in regard to the Green and Gold Decade ahead of us, the key role SSOs will play and the legacy that can be created.

Finally join us for an open conversation with Sports Journalist, Steph Brantz and Senior Sports Executive and Non-executive Director David Gallop AM as they reflect on his leadership journey. This is a great opportunity to hear from a respected male leader and his journey in sports leadership from a gender inclusion perspective.

Australian Sports Commission Workshop - Cameron French
The Australian Sports Commission (ASC) will host a workshop to update attendees on the development of a National Participation Strategy and provide an opportunity for attendees to contribute to the ASC's efforts in enhancing the volunteer experience. 

Innovation and Participation – Kerry Turner, Baz Wedmaier, Adam Beisler, Suzanne Ramke and Rebecca Rippon
Practical case studies 
This session will explore how three sports have modified their traditional delivery approach to reach new markets.  The session aims to inspire the audience to think outside the box when it comes to their participation products and planning. Target audience includes school coordinator /participation officer / development officer/manager and sports administrators. 
 
Update Child Safe Standards- Matt Sibley and Mark Lorenti
The Office of the Children’s Guardian session will provide a review of the Child Safe Standards and the approach to Compliance which came into effect on February 1 2023. An interactive workshop will be run on the 4 Pillars of Child Safety, allowing for open discussion on how to implement the Child Safe Standards in a sports setting, and providing you with information on the resources and support that is available to help you on your child safe journey. 

Wellbeing in Sport – Joydeep Hor, Maria Nordstrom, Raewyn Elsegood, and Janet Drakos 
The wellbeing of staff, athletes and volunteers is more important now than ever before. Join a conversation lead by Founder & Managing Principal of People + Culture Strategies. Joydeep Hor, discussing what are sports biggest challenges in this area and what are organisations doing to support their people. 
 
Disability and Inclusion – Murray Elbourn and Mick Garnett
Hear from two industry experts in Disability and Inclusion on the newly launched Accessibility Champions Course and Adaptive Movement. How is this relevant to your organisation and how to get involved? 
 
Sport Integrity – Hannah Barnes 
Lessons learnt from implementing a State based NIF like Integrity Framework. A practical case study, what worked well, and lessons learnt, presented by Hannah Barnes Cricket NSW Head of Integrity, Risk & Legal.
