Goalball Aussie Belles head to Rio for Paralympic Games

Our Member Blind Sport NSW has announced that due to the banning of the Russian Paralympic Committee, Australia will have 9 more athletes heading to the competition including the Australian Women Belles Goalball Team.  NSW Team members include Jenny Blow, Tyan Taylor and Michelle Rzepecki with 3 Queenslanders to join them - Meica Christensen, Nicole Esdaile and the newest Paralympian Raissa Martin who replaces South Australian athlete Rachel Henderson who is now pursuing cycling.

Follow all the action on Channel Seven 2 or through the 7 LIVE app on your phone/tablet. You can also tune into Disability Sports Network during the 2016 Paralympic Games. Australia will play Turkey, Ukraine, China and Canada who they defeated in the round games during the International Blind Sports Federation (IBSA) World Games then lost to in the Bronze medal game.
