Sport NSW AGM and Industry Forum

Annual General Meeting
On Thursday 20 October 2016 Sport NSW held our Annual General Meeting at the Australian College of Physical Education (ACPE), electing three Directors from a highly credentialed field of four candidates. The three Directors elected for two year teams were:
- Carolyn Campbell, CEO, Netball NSW
- Andrew Hore, CEO, NSW Rugby Union
- Gregory Will, Principal, Armstrong Dawson (advisory and accountancy practice)

At the Annual General Meeting, the Annual Report for the 2015-16 Financial Year was presented to the meeting.

Industry Forum
Over 60 people attended the Industry Forum which preceded the AGM, where our members and partners heard a presentation from Matt Miller, CEO, Office of Sport, as well as two of his Executive Directors Paul Doorn and Dr Phil Hamdorf, speaking on key issues currently facing the NSW Sport sector. Topics include:
- The strategic direction of the Office of Sport
- A review into High Performance pathways in NSW sport currently underway
- A Whole-of-Sector Strategic Plan, soon to be commenced
- Facilities & Infrastructure Collaboration
Sports then had the opportunity to hear from Sports Chaplaincy Australia about the services they provide, as well as our new sports apparel partner, Valour Apparel.
Additional announcements made at the conclusion of the meeting were:
- Alex Blackwell & Sarah Cook being named as the first Sport NSW ambassadors
- A new partnership was announced with Australian College of Physical Education
