Susan Horwitz to Retire from Board of Sport NSW

Sport NSW Chair Chris Hall today paid tribute to director Susan Horwitz, who has decided to retire from the board in May 2023.

 ‘Susan has made a massive contribution to Sport in NSW’, said Mr Hall.

“Prior to being a director of Sport NSW Susan was President of Women’s Sport NSW and led the merger of the two organisations,’

‘Susan has been a pioneer in the growth of female participation, particularly in the development of female leaders within the industry and mentoring elite athletes as they transition into the next phase of their careers.’

“On behalf of everyone in the NSW sport community, I’d like to thank Susan and acknowledge her significant achievements.’

In announcing her retirement, Ms Horwitz said, ‘“It has been a privilege to be actively involved with Sport NSW, to see women’s sport flourish and to be part of a vibrant organisation that provides valuable support to sporting organisations and athletes throughout NSW.’
