Fast Track for Female Coaches 2026 program (hybrid)
Registrations are now open for Sport NSW’s next Fast Track for Female Coaches program, which enables women in coaching roles to build the knowledge, skills, confidence and readiness as they progress in their chosen sport.
Fast Track for Female Coaches is open to all women coaching in NSW state sporting organisations and affiliated clubs. The program, which is supported by the NSW Office of Sport, aims to increase gender equity in coaching by supporting women into higher level coaching roles and fast-tracking them to fulfil their potential.
The five-week program will be delivered in hybrid mode, comprising weekly facilitated workshops delivered by coaching, performance psychology and leadership experts, and culminating in a final session that brings participants together in-person for a coaching panel discussion, course wrap-up and networking event.
Course facilitators include:
-
Gareth Long, Director Program Innovation and Development, Australian College of Physical Education
-
Karen Haddad, Performance Psychologist
-
Barb Barkley, Executive Coach, Brava Consulting
-
Dr Juanita Weissensteiner, Principal Advisor Pathways and Development, NSW Office of Sport.

Additional information:
Sport NSW has previously delivered separate Fast Track for Female Coaches programs for development and pathway coaches. This year, we are combining the programs into one, to enable women in coaching to share their experiences, insights and build their networks more widely.
Participants will need to cover the cost of travel and/or accommodation to attend the final, in-person session.
Some state sporting organisations may offer full or partial scholarships to cover the cost of the program and any related travel and accommodation. Please check directly with your SSO.
If your SSO cannot support travel and accommodation and you think you may need assistance in this area, please contact Nish Miles at Sport NSW (projects@sportnsw.com.au) so we can help look for avenues for support.
