2021 Sport NSW Local Council Conference Wrap Up

Published Mon 22 Feb 2021

Sport NSW was pleased to once again host a Local Council Conference in 2021 with over 70 delegates from a range of councils, sporting organisations and state government in attendance. The half-day event, held at ACPE on Thursday 18 February, enabled councils to come together with representatives from their sport and recreation and disability inclusion departments to discuss developments and opportunities within the sector.

The conference included presentations on Disability Inclusion Action Plans, Sporting facilities funding, Insights into the Active Kids Data, Diversity and Inclusion opportunities and more. A big thank you to each of our presenters for sharing their thoughts, ideas and knowledge on each of these topics - it was great to see the delegates actively engaging with presenters and each other right throughout the day.

Our sincere thanks to the event partner, the Australian College of Physical Education (ACPE) for providing access to such a wonderful facility and for all their support in the lead up and execution of the event. Thanks also to the National Sports Convention who provided the door prize of one full registration to attend the 2021 Convention later this year and congratulations to Ana Render from Sydney Local Health District who won.

If you have any questions or would like to be connected with anyone you heard from or spoke to at the event, please contact the Sport NSW office.
